Oh My. How Time Flies.

It's been just a couple of months shy of a WHOLE YEAR since I last blogged.

I must blog more frequently.

I must blog more frequently.

I must blog more frequently.

(I'll do the other 97 lines later.)

So, where are we? Well, Frillseekers is going from strength to strength, with more fans than ever before, via the power of Facebook, Twitter and good old fashioned word of mouth.

I recently took a pitch at Portobello. The market is all things vintage on Fridays. I was picked up by my good friend Su (of the Blue Linen Cupboard) at 5.30am - eek! Haven't seen that time of day since Edith was a babe in arms. It was very dark. We arrived at PB at 6.30am and started setting up. Luckily we didn't have to wait to be assigned a pitch as other non-regulars have to - we were 'borrowing' another dealer's regular pitch while they were on holiday.

It wasn't until about 9.30am that punters started to arrive. I made some great sales, and had a fun day. My best anecdote is that I gave one customer a really good price on about 8 items that she'd gathered together. I knocked about £50 off the overall price. She frowned, and thought for a while, and then said, "That seems rather generous. How about I give you £XX?" She wanted to give me £20 more than the price I'd given her! I said, "Oh, ok" like I really had to think hard about it. I bet I never get one like that again.

Other news is that I've just updated my website with all of April's events. We kick off this Sunday with Vintage Vogue, an new, one-off event in Essex. I can't wait. I love meeting new vintage lovers - and new dealers. Must keep my own wallet in check . . .
